Our cooperation with Prof. Mahnken and his team started in 2019. The fruitful collaboration has already resulted in two peer-reviewed publications about the advantages of DVA. The clinical studies demonstrated the usability of DVA in lower-limb angiography in patients with metal implants and DVA’s better image quality in selective lower limb interventions.
Dr. Nemes was one of our first partners who started to test DVA in lower limb angiography in 2017. Since then, the technology was introduced in his everyday practice and the laboratory became the first reference site for Kinepict. Dr. Nemes co-authored 5 peer-reviewed articles on DVA, and he is also an active partner in an ongoing clinical study.
I've been working with the Kinepict team since the very beginning. As we are the leading vascular centre in Hungary, we keep up to speed with the latest technological developments. The Kinepict software has succeeded beyond our expectations. It has been seamlessly integrated into our daily routine in the last 3 years and provides a great help in endovascular interventions.
We started our collaboration with Kinepict 3 years ago and our primary focus was to conduct studies on the possible use of the Digital Variance Angiography (DVA) technology in different embolization settings. Very early on after the installation, we have realised its potential and started to use the Kinepict software in our daily work for prostatic artery embolization (PAE) and liver transarterial chemoembolization (TACE). We are pleased with the high-quality DVA images and believe that the Kinepict technology will be a valuable support in PAE and TACE procedures.
Dr. Massmann is involved in preclinical animal studies with Kinepict including rabbits and pigs. Also, a Kinepict workstation was installed for everyday clinical use in his cath lab.
Dr. Barbati has initiated a project on the potential usefulness of DVA in Chronic Venous Occlusions. The major aim is to achieve substantial radiation exposure reduction during these interventions.

Yes, we will help you set up the Kinepict software and work fully to gain experience and see all the benefits for 1-3 months without payment.
To be able to connect to hospital network, dedicated IP address, port and AEtitle will be needed on the same network as angiography system.
Yes, will be needed to setup a DICOM store node, auto-push to Kinepict workstation.
Yes, if there is no Large Display Monitor option, the video connection to OR monitor could be wireless.
The Kinepict Medical Imaging Tool can process DSA unsubtracted images from any angiography system. Already tested with GE IGS, Philips IGT, Siemens Artis angio systems.
DSA has a raw unsubtracted format without compression.

70% X-RAY DOSE REDUCTION
Our completed clinical study shows that DVA allows a very substantial reduction of DSA related radiation exposure in lower limb interventions, therefore this technology increases the safety of the endovascular procedures. It provides very significant radiation protection not only for the patients but also for the medical staff. The clinical results were published in Scientific Reports.

50% ICM DOSE REDUCTION
Our completed clinical study demonstrates that the quality reserve provided by our technology can be effectively converted to significant contrast media (50%) reduction in carotid angiography. This brings significant economical and health benefits - less adverse events, contrast induced nephropathy - to the patients and cost saving for the cath labs. The clinical results was published in the European Journal of Radiology Open.

CO2 INCREASED DIAGNOSTIC INSIGHT
DVA visualizes the same structures as DSA but offers dramatically better image quality (Gyano et al, 2019; Bastian et al, 2021; Thomas et al, 2021) and DVA significantly improves the image quality of angiograms even in CO2 angiography (Orias et al, 2019). This has a special significance since the use of CO2 as a contrast agent is the only possibility to treat patients with severe kidney injury. In CO2 angiography the image quality is improved also at a lower frame rate (1–3 fps) which provides an opportunity for substantial radiation exposure reduction (Gyano et al, 2020).
